Are You Criticizing Rubio Because of Santorum? Really?

One of the silliest oddities in politics is taking place among some people who "absorb" rather than think and study.

Here it is: Rick Santorum has endorsed Marco Rubio. No surprise. They share almost every aspect of ideology and policy views.

Fresh off his own campaign trail, Santorum is asked on MSNBC by Joe Scarborough, if he can name one significant accomplishment by Marco Rubio in the Senate. He brain-cramps and can't think of anything but platitudes. Joe goes in for the kill, repeating the question, putting the pressure on, and Santorum's brain-cramp intensifies.

Now, for some perspective...

1. There were almost no significant accomplishments by ANY Senator in the 113th Congress, because Barack Obama was dead set on vetoing anything that was not left-wing Liberal. That's the "gridlock" so often criticized by uninformed folks who just was *something* done, they don't care what it is.

2. Junior Senators have little clout to make 99 other Senators, almost half of whom are Democrats, make huge headway in anything.

3. However, their VOTE is important, and Marco's voting record is solidly Conservative. That alone is a "significant" accomplishment. That's why it's important for people like Rand Paul and Ted Cruz to remain in the Senate after Rubio becomes President.

4. While Santorum should have been better prepared before his endorsement and TV interviews, that's on Santorum, not Rubio. Bet next time he'll do better.

But no politically savvy person will actually blame Rubio because Santorum had a little egg on his face.

Compare Bobby Jindal's endorsement on Greta, to see how it should be done.
